A season best of 6602 points by Carolin Schafer gave her the bronze medal at
the 2018 European Championships, 50 points more than Ivona Dadic who was
setting a new Austrian record. For the silver medalist at the 2017
World Championships (6696) Carolin would have been happy to win a medal in Berlin
though with a personal best of 6836 she could have expected to challenge for the gold.
She high jumped 1.86m (a PB), clocked 13.09 in the 100m hurdles and long jumped 6.20m.
