Slaven Bilic moved to Everton from West Ham in the summer of 1997, the Toffees paying £4.5m to secure the

services of the cultured central defender. His time at Goodison was not a particularly successful one and he

returned to his homeland with a free transfer switch to Hadjuk Split in March 2000. He is pictured above

during the pre-season match against Tranmere Rovers on 19th July 1997.
