Nadezhda is pictured above during the final of the women's Shot Put at the
2006 European Championships in Gothenburg. She won the silver medal
with an effort of 19.42m, agonisingly just 1cm behind the gold medal winner
her fellow Belarussian, Natallia Khoroneko.
However she was later disqualidied for drug use !
