Brittany Crew's first throw in the final (18.46m) gave her 8th. place
and thus meant 2016 Olympic Champion Michelle Carter (USA) was
eliminated from the event with her 18.41m. Brittany's next
three attempts included her 18.55m which failed to improve her overall
position.
