The large photo shows Dayron in full flight during his 1st. round heat but in
the final (inset photo) he stopped at the 7th. flight with an injury and for different reasons
was again marked as DSQ in a major championship. In 2011 he clipped Lui Xiang and was
disqualified for running out of his lane. He thus lost his 2008 Olympic title but not his world record
of 12.87 (set in Ostrava on June 12th of that year 2008). However, the record was actually beaten by
Aries Merritt just weeks after the 2012 Games, in Brussells, when the American ran 12.80 !
