Helga Radtke is pictured above at the 1987 World Athletics Championships in Rome,
where she finished just outside the medals in 4th place with a jump of 7.01m.
The previous year she had won a bronze medal in the Long Jump at the
European Championships in Stuttgart, a feat she repeated four years later in Split.
