Twenty year old Mekides Abebe before the start of the women's 3000m
steeplechase at the Zurich Diamond League meeting. She finished 4th there
just as she had at the Olympic Games, the month before. In 2019 Abebe won
the steeplecahse at the African Games. In May 2021 she set Ethiopian
National Record of 9:02.52, in Doha.
