Muktar EDRIS - Ethiopia - Second World 5,000 metres Gold medal.

Muktar Edris retaining his World Championship 5,000 metres title from fellow

countryman Selemon Barege. Both runners broke 13 minutes, unlike in 2017

in London when the leading runners were half a minute slower. (A race won by Mo Farah.)

Fourth place man Telahun Haile Bekele, also of Ethiopia, was the fastest man in 2019

going into the final with a season best of 12:52.98.
