heats of the men's 3000m Steeplechase at the 2009 World Championships in
Berlin. Jarso would go on to finish in 5th place in the final in a new
PB time of 8.12.13, whilst Kemboi would take the gold ahead of his
compatriot Richard Kipkemboi Mateelong in a new Championship record time
of 8.00.43. Yacob had also performed well at the 2008 Olympic Games in
Beijing, finishing just outside the medals in 4th place. |
