Lizzie Bird races away from the water jump to win the 3,000m steeplechase
event at the UK Championships, beating the defending champion Aimee Pratt.
Both women ran at the 2019 World Championships in the same event. In Doha
Bird ran 9:30.13 in her heat. Her personal best of 9:26.73 was set in the USA in 2019.
At the 2020 Olympic Games she set a new UK record of 9:19.68 in the final
2021 UK Championships.
