John Whetton winning the 1970 Commonwealth 1,500m Trial at Leicester, from Brendan Foster
and John Kirkbride. 6th June 1970. Brendan Foster won the bronze medal at the Games
in Edinburgh, with a P.B. of 3:40.6 John Whetton was fifth. John then retired from Athletics.
