Keely Hodgkinson crosses the finish line to win the women's 800
metres
at the 2024 Paris Olympic Games. She thus became the third British women
to win the event after Ann Packer (1964) and Kelly Holmes (2004). Three
years earlier, age nineteen, she won the silver medal at the Tokyo Games.
Earlier in 2024 she established a new British record of 1:54.61 at the 2012 London
Olympic stadium.
