The left hand photo above shows the happy Great Britain 4x100m team
celebrating after they had won the bronze medal in the final of the men's
4x100m at the 2007 World Championships in Osaka. The race finish
pictures show the closing few metres of the final, with Mark
Lewis-Francis (lane 7) astonishingly missing out to Jamaica's Asafa Powell
(lane 5) for the silver medal by just 1 hundredth of a second. The USA
(lane 4) won the gold medal in a time of 37.78 secs. |
