Tasha DANVERS - Great Britain & N.I. - 2008 Olympics 400m Hurdles bronze medalist

The left hand photo above shows Tasha Danvers all smiles after she had produced a superb performance to win the bronze medal in the women's 400m Hurdles final at the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing. Danvers, a silver medalist at the 2006 Commonwealth Games, ran a new PB time of 53.84 secs and what better time to produce a personal best performance than on the biggest stage of all, the final of the Olympic Games.

The race action pictures show the closing metres of the final, with Tasha on the far left. Jamaica's Melanie Walker (two from left) won the gold medal in a new Olympic record time of 52.64 secs and the USA's Sheena Tosta (second right) the silver. The other athlete in shot is Ukraine's Anastasiya Rabchenyuk who finished in 4th place.

In June 2012 Natasha retired because of a series of injury problems.
