Brandon SIMPSON - Jamaica - 2001 & 2003 World Championship 4x400m silver medalist.

Brandon Simpson is pictured above in the heats of the 400m at the 2005 World Championships in Helsinki. He finished in sixth place in the final in a time of 45.01 whilst in the 4x400m he teamed up with Sanjay Ayre, Lansford Spence and Davian Clarke to win the bronze medal.

This was the third World Championships in succession that Jamaica, with Simpson part of the team on each occasion, had won a 4x400m medal.

In 2001 the quartet of  Brandon Simpson, Christopher Williams, Gregory Haughton & Danny McFarlane won the silver

medal in the 4 x 400m relay (after the USA were disqualified for including a drug user - Antonio Pettigrew (deceased 1967 - 2010).

 

In 2003 Brandon Simpson, Danny McFarlane,  Davian Clarke &  Michael Blackwood again took the silver medal after the USA

"winning" team was disqualified.
