Sandie won the World Indoor 400m title in 1993 in Toronto (and a Gold medal in the 4 x 400m)
and eight years later won the same 400m individual title in Lisbon in 2001 (silver in relay).
At the World Championships she won a silver 400m medal in 1997 having earlier won the bronze
medal in 1993.
