Catherine Ndereba is pictured above, arms outstretched in celebration,
crossing the line in the silver medal position in the women's Marathon at
the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing. She beat China's Chunxiu Zhou to the
silver by just 1 second and the photo above shows just how tight a
finish it was.
Ndereba's silver medal replicated her achievement of four
years previously in Athens and it was her fifth medal at a major
championship, two of which are gold.
