Defending champion Faith Kipyegon follows Sifan Hassan as the field
enters the 2nd. lap of the 1,500m final. Thereafter Sifan ran away from
the others and the battle was for the lesser medals. Faith needed a
Kenyan record to win the silver medal just holding off Gudaf Tsegay
on the finish line (smaller image). Her previous best was 3:56.41 in 2016.
Faith won the 2017 event with in a time of 4:02.59 !
