Never in the history of the Olympics has any women athlete
achieved what Sifan Hassan did in Paris at the 2024 Games.
She won medals at three different middle distance events when
on the final day of the Games she won the marathon - in an Olympic
record time - to add to the bronze medals she earlier had won in the
5,000m and 10,000m. At the 1924 Paris Olympic Games Paavo Nurmi
won three medals over distance events. (All Gold for the great man).
