Churandy Martina adds the European 100 metres title to that of the 200 metres (2012),
as pictured above, winning the short sprint in Amsterdam just ahead of Turkey's
Jak Ali Harvey, both of whom recorded 10.07. Harvey is in lane 5.
In 3rd. place came the European co-record holder Jimmy Vicaut (9.86 in 2016).
It is their chests that matter, not their feet, when crossing the line !
Churandy Martina "won" the 200 metres final but was disqualied for running out of his lane
on the bend. He did however finish the 200 metres at the Rio Olympic Games, where he
came 5th. (SEE BELOW).
(Jak Ali Harvey was formally known as Jacques Montgomery Harvey, from Jamaica.)
