Okagbare was suspended from athletics after failing a drugs test on 31st July
2021 during the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, a sample collected from the sprinter tested positive
for human Growth Hormone. She had already won her 100m heat. In October 2021 she
was formally charged with three offences including a positive test for another banned substance,
recombinant erythropoietin (EPO), which increases red blood cell count. In February 2020 her
athletics "career" ended with a ten year ban for multiple breaches of anti-doping rules.
