Ciara also won the silver medal at the 2022 European Championships,
again behind Laura.
But on 2nd September 2022 at the Brussels Diamond League
Ciara claimed victory in a final sprint for the line in the women’s 1,500m
winning in a national record of 3:56.63. She beat Olympic silver medallist
Laura (3:56.86) into second place, with Freweyni Hailu of Ethiopia taking bronze in 3:56.94.
