Susanne WIGENE - Norway - 2006 European Championships 10,000m silver medal

Susanne is pictured above crossing the line to win silver in the final of the

women's 10,000m at the 2006 European Championships in Gothenburg.

Her time of 30: 32.36 was a PB and brought her first medal at a major championship.

In what was a high quality race, 19 of the first 20 athletes remarkably posted either a PB,

a seasons best or a national record. She also finished 7th in the 5,000m.

The other athlete in shot is the bronze medal winner, Russia's Lidiya Grigoryeva.
