Leszek is pictured above during the final of the 200 metres at the
1980 Olympic Games in Moscow. He was the Polish sprint champion on six occasions.
The year before he was the world student games 100/200 runner up,
behind Pietro Mennea who ran the then new world record 19.72.
Dunecki ran 20.26 which stood as the Polish record for twenty years.
