Pawel FAJDEK - Poland - Fourth hammer gold for Pawel at World Championships.

Pawel Fajdek enters the arena, via the mobile electronic doorway,

to contest and win another World Championship hammer throwing

final for Poland. But never an Olympic gold.

Every finalist was introduced through the door, with a background

of their national colours.

2019 World Athletics Championships. Doha, Qatar.

Final men's hammer throw.

1.
 Paweł Fajdek
  Poland
  80.50

2.
 Quentin Bigot   France   78.19    SB
3.  Bence Halász   Hungary   78.18
4.
 Wojciech Nowicki   Poland   77.69 ***

5.  Mykhaylo Kokhan   Ukraine   77.39 PB
6.
 Eivind Henriksen   Norway   77.38
7.
 Javier Cienfuegos   Spain   76.57
8.  Hleb Dudarau   Belarus   76.00

***  Wojciech Nowicki was awarded a bronze medal following

irregularities in the conduct of the competition which disadvantaged the

Polish athlete. The opening throw by Bence Halász was perhaps invalid - his only

other valid throw was 73.76.  So two medals for Poland. Nice.
