Aleksey VOYEVODIN - Russia - Silver medals at World & European 50km race walks.

Aleksey is pictured above during the men's 50km Walk at the 2005 World Championships

in Helsinki. He won the silver medal in a time of 3: 38.08,

behind compatriot Sergey Kirdyapkin.

On 5th. August 2008, Voyevodin and training partners Sergey Morozov, Viktor Burayev, and Vladimir Kanaykin,

all coached by Viktor Chegin, were banned from competition, following a positive EPO test.

The positive tests were conducted in April 2008 and evidenced systematic doping.
