It was a new World Record*.
She was the World Junior Champion (10 km race walk) in 2010.
Her world record was beaten in 2015 by China's Liu Hong, who was 4th at the 2012 Olympic Games
and then took Elena's Olympic title in 2016

Lashmanova had a positive doping test announced 22 June 2014, one of a large number
of Russian race-walkers to test positive and was suspended for 2 years.
She joined over a dozen other elite Russian race walkers all coached by Viktor Chegin
to receive doping suspensions.
