Ilya Shkurenyov again had to accept 4th. place in a World Championships (2015)
but unlike in Beijing, now as a 'Neutral' athlete. He did achieve a season best in the
decathlon but he would have needed a near life time best to win a medal
(PB was 8538 in Beijing). His long jump 7.61m was the 3rd best of the competition
and his high jump 2.11m and discus 48.75m were both the second best on the day.
In the last event, the 1500m (small image), he needed to beat Damian Warner
by a second to win a medal but the Cnadian beat him.
The decathlon is a two day event. In Doha it took three. The 1,500m took place after midnight
on Friday 4th. October. The other images were all taken during the 2nd. and 3rd.
