Svetlana SHKOLINA - Russia - 2013 World Championship high jump.

Jumping the same height as she did at the 2012 Olympic Games of 2:03m, where she won the bronze medal,

Svetlana Shkolina "won" the 2013 World Athletics Championships high jump contest.  Brigetta Barrett was the

only other jumper to reach attempt 2:03 but failed three times.  Svetlana tried to clear 2:05 twice then stopped

jumping - tired but happy. The inset picture above show her after attempting 2.05m for a second time.

AND THEN SOME YEARS LATER!

In February 2019, the Court of Arbitration for Sport handed her a four-year ban for doping,

starting from 1 February 2019.
