Yelena SLESARENKO - Russia - 4th in the High Jump at the 2008 Olympic Games

The pictures above show Yelena during the final of the women's High Jump at the

2008 Olympic Games in Beijing. Slesarenko, the defending champion after her

success in Athens, missed out on the medals this time, her jump of 2.01m

leaving her in 4th place.

In November 2016 following another examination of her 'sample' from The Games

she was removed from the result. Traces of banned drugs were found to have been

used. As was Vita Palamar at the same time !
