A delighted Yuriy is pictured above crossing the line to take the bronze medal
in the 50km Walk at the 2006 European Championships in Gothenburg.
France's Yohan Diniz won the gold and Spain's Jesus Angel Garcia the silver.
It was the first medal at a major championship for Andronov.
He finished 10th in 2010.
He was disqualified from the 2014 IAAF World Race Walking Cup,
having failed a doping test and was banned from the sport for two years.
In both 2004 and 2006 he had won the bronze medals at the World Race Walking Cup.
