The two main photos above show the desperately close finish in the
women's 800m final at the 2004 Olympics in Athens. Jolanda (3010) was
deemed to have won the bronze medal despite clocking exactly the same
time - 1: 56.43 - as the silver medal winner Hasna Benhassi (red vest).
Great Britain's Kelly Holmes (1809) won the Gold, whilst defending
champion Maria Mutola - far right, lunging for the line - was forced out
of the medals altogether. The left hand photo shows Jolanda in full
flow during the heats. |

On 18 June 2007, Čeplak tested positive on erythropoietin. On 26 July, IAAF announced that the B test
confirmed the result of the A test. Čeplak said that she has never taken any illegal substances and
would try to prove her innocence with all means possible.
She received a two-year suspension, and returned to competition in July 2009.
