A delighted Kajsa is pictured above during the final of the women's
High Jump at the 2006 European Championships in Gothenburg. On an
evening of high quality jumping Bergqvist was forced to settle for the
bronze medal, her leap of 2.01m leaving her 2cm behind Tia Hellebaut and
Veneline Veneva, Hellebaut winning the gold medal on the countback
rule. The fourth placed athlete, Blanka Vlasic, cleared the same height
as Kajsa but she also missed out on the countback rule. |
