The sequence of pictures above show Allen (white vest in the centre) during the
110m Hurdles final at the 2005 World Championships in Helsinki. He won the
bronze medal in a time of 13.10, with Ladji Doucoure (blue vest) winning gold
and Xiang Liu (red vest) silver. The bronze medal brought to an end Allen's incredible
run of Golds at the World Championships; he finished first on no fewer than four
occasions in five championships, with those victories coming in
1995, 1997, 2001 & 2003.
