Bryan CLAY - U.S.A. - Olympic Games 2008 & 2004.

Bryan is pictured above during the Shot Put, 110m Hurdles, 1500m and Pole Vault disciplines of the Decathlon

at the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing. Clay produced a new PB in the Shot of 16.27m (868pts) and a fine all round

performance saw him comfortably clinch the gold medal with a points total of 8791, 240 points clear of his nearest

challenger Andrei Krauchanka. This victory was Bryan's second gold medal at a major championship, having also

struck gold at the 2005 World Championships in Helsinki, and saw him go one better than the previous Olympics in

Athens where he won a silver medal.

Olympics in Athens. The American ran a time of 49.19 secs to add 852 points to his total. Bryan

scored a grand total of 8820 points to take the silver medal behind Roman Sebrle, who's total of
