The pictures above show James during the final of the mens 400m Hurdles at the

2007 World Championships in Osaka. Carter, who had won the silver medal

at the previous World Championships, finished just outside the medals in

4th place in a time of 48.40 secs.

The main photo above shows James during the heats of the mens 400m Hurdles at the 2005

World Championships in Helsinki. The bottom inset picture shows Carter on his way to that

silver medal in the final, his time of 47.43 a new PB, despite the wet conditions.

The other athlete in shot is his compatriot Kerron Clement who finished just

James is pictured above on his way to victory in his first round heat of the 400m Hurdles

at the 2004 Olympics in Athens. He went on to finish just

outside the medals in fourth place in the final, replicating his performance

four years previously at the Sydney Olympics.
