Joshua JOHNSON - U.S.A. - 2003 World Champs 4x100m Gold (result)

The pictures above show Joshua J. Johnson pipping Great Britain's Dwain Chambers to the line by

the narrowest of margins to win the 4x100m Gold medal for the U.S.A. at the 2003 World Athletics Championships

in Paris. Johnson had trailed Chambers when handed the baton by Darvis Patton but a sensational last leg saw

him make up the deficit. Chambers later failed a drugs test and the GB & NI team were disqualified meaning that

Brazil and the Netherlands took the silver and bronze medals respectively
