The main photo above shows an ecstatic Kara crossing the line to win
bronze in the final of the women's 10,000m at the 2007 World
Championships in Osaka. It was Goucher's first medal at a major
championship and was a fine accomplishment for an athlete who had
battled injury for several years after college. The inset picture shows
Kara enjoying her moment of success shortly after the race. |
