Michael Norman did not reach the final of the men's 400m. In fact it lists him as
in 22nd place (on times set in Doha). What might have been had he not been
injured during the Championships? In 2018 he won the U.S. Championships in 43.61
and in April 2019 he clocked 43.45 (= 4th fastest time ever). His best 200 metres time
was 19.70 also set in 2019. He is pictured above winning his heat in 45.00.
He came last in his semi-final 45.94, limping home.
(In 2022 he won the World Championship 400 metres- enough said !)
