Raevyn ROGERS - U.S.A. - 800m silver medal at 2019 World Championsips

Raevyn Rogers chose the wide route down the finish straight in the

women's 800m final and thus, unobstructed, she won

the silver medal in a season best time. She had won both her heat

(2:02.01) and her semi-final  (1:59.57) and perhaps preferred the

'safe' way home. With a P.B. of 1:57.69 she knew winning was possible.

Alas, Halimah Nakaayi rose to the occasion, setting a Uganda National

Record and just won.
