Rai BENJAMIN - U.S.A. - 2nd. in 400m hurdles at 2019 & 2022 World Championships.

In 2019 only four men had gone under 47 seconds for the 400m hurldes. At the

2019 World Championships two of those men lined up to contest the hurdles final.

Karsten Warholm had ran 46.92 in August and Rai Benjamin had ran 46.98 (at

the same event it so happens - the famous Weltkalsse in Zurich).

The Zurich result was repeated, but their times, though outstanding, were a little

slower. Rai is pictured above winning his heat in a leisurely 49.62. He also won

his semi moving up a gear with a 48.72.
