Tonie Campbell, in lane 6, crosses the finish line to take the bronze medal in
the men's 110 metres hurdle Olympic Games final in Seoul.
Four years earlier he finished 5th in the 1984 final in Los Angeles. He was forced
to miss the 1980 Olympic Games by the USA boycott.
He won the 1987 World Indoor 60m hurdles title in Indianapolis 7.51.

Tonie Campbell was one of the most consistent high hurdlers of the 80s.
In the USA Track and Field News magazine's world merit rankings, he was ranked
in the top ten for eleven consecutive years (1980-90) with his highest position
being number two (in 1987). He married the English hurdler Michelle Edwards.
