inaugural World Championships in 1983. She took the silver medal
behind Mary Decker (492) with compatriot Yekaterina Podkopayeva
(behind Gabriella Dorio, no. 267) taking the bronze.
Zamira Zaytseva (Russian: Замира Зайцева,
Her personal best times were 1:56.21 (800 metres) and 3:56.14 (1500 metres).
