Marathon gold medalists usually lead the race into the stadium at the
end of the 26 miles - not in the first 400 metres.
But as the photo above shows Uganda's Stephen Kiprotich likes
to be in control from the outset.m Unlike in London the year before,
where all the medalist broke 2 hour 10 minute, only Stephen did so
in Moscow. The weather at both was very similar.
