Freddie is pictured above in full flow during his superb innings of 102 -
the top inset picture shows Flintoff acknowledging the crowd after
reaching his hundred - in the 4th Test against Australia at Trent Bridge
in August 2005. He also chipped in with a vital 26 in England's 2nd
innings to help them edge to a nerve jangling 3 wicket victory. That put
England 2-1 up in the series and a draw in the final Test at The Oval
saw England recapture the Ashes after an 18 year wait. Freddie enjoyed a
terrific series with both bat and ball, scoring 402 runs at an average
of 40.20, despite making only 0 & 3 in the 1st Test, and taking 24
wickets at 27.29. His statistics include 1 Test playing for the ICC
World XI against Australia (14th-17th October 2005) at the Sydney
Cricket Ground.
