The pictures above show Wasim during his fine knock of 62 in India's 1st
innings of the 2nd Test against England at Trent Bridge in July 2007.
Jaffer and his opening partner Dinesh Karthik got India off to a
terrific start in reply to England's disappointing total of 198 all out,
putting on 147 for the first wicket before Wasim succumbed to the
bowling of Chris Tremlett.
Good contributions from Dravid, Tendulkar,
Ganguly, Laxman & Kumble saw India amass a total of 481 and they
went on to record a comfortable 7 wicket victory after dismissing
England for 355 second time around. A draw in the final Test at The Oval
saw India win their first series on English soil since 1986 and only
the third in their history, the first success coming in 1971.
