(Gus is pictured above during his fine knock of 78 in the West Indies 1st innings of the 3rd Test against England at Trent Bridge, Nottingham in July 1991. Logie's efforts helped the West Indies post a total of 397 in reply to England's 300 and the tourists went on to complete a comfortable victory after they dismissed England for 211 second time round, half centuries from Desmond Haynes and Richie Richardson guiding the Windies to a 9 wicket success. This would prove to be Gus's penultimate appearance in Test match cricket, his final match coming in the next Test at Edgbaston, Birmingham which the West Indies won by 7 wickets to go 2-1 up in the series, Logie chipping in with 28 in the 1st innings.)
