Neal played two seasons for Villa under three managers, Graham Turner, Billy McNeill and Graham Taylor
but recurring injuries limited his appearances. His playing days at Aberdeen were the
highlights of his career under the management of the legendary Alex Ferguson.
 
He died on 28th. May 2018 in hospital after being found
in the stairwell of the block of flats he lived at in Aberdeen.
