Harry KEWELL - FIFA World Cup 2010 and 2006.

Harry Kewell is pictured above during the 1:1 draw against Ghana at the 2010 World Cup in South Africa.

It was a disappointing match for Kewell who was red carded in just the 24th minute (see inset photo)

after it was adjudged that he had handled Jonathan Mensah's goal bound shot. Asamoah Gyan scored

the resulting spot kick to cancel out Brett Holman's early strike for the Socceroos and that was how the

score would remain.

(On 26 March 2014, Kewell announced his retirement from professional football at the age of 35)

It was an historic day for Australian football as it was the first time they had won a game

at the World Cup finals.
