Although it was a home game Wanderers wore a dark strip to commemorate
the Brunden Park disaster, which occurred exactly 70 years before, on the 9th. March 1946,
when 33 fans were killed. They were crushed in the over crowded ground.
The kit above had on it the names of those people (aged 14-67 included 1 women) and at the game
against Ipswich relatives of the victims were invited to attend the commemoration.
